What am I doing??
On Tuesday, my manager asked me if I could take a listing of events and make a calendar for them. The calendar will be used by several different people (mostly to view, but editing ability would be nice, too).
I took the information and had it live on a Google Calendar in less than 20 minutes, thanks to the amazing NLP tool. See? The calendar is below.
Well, then I tried to share it with my manager so she can edit it and share it with others. Since she and most of the other folks in management are— I’m not making this up— still using AOL for their main email, I can’t actually do this because they don’t want to set up a gmail account.
So… for the past two days, in my “spare” time off, I’ve been trying desperately to find a way to import this calendar data into some other completely inappropriate (the owner would likely prefer AppleWorks, but might be okay with, say, a Word or Excel) file that can then be put into the Drop Box on our server.
The thing is, I am the crazy one, because apparently I’d rather jam this exported ICS file into my eye socket, than use some pre-made Word or Excel template and just manually type the events into the damn file. What am I doing!?
p.s. there has to be a way to avoid typing these 28 events into a new file, RIGHT??
