Yesterday, two of my very dear friends - Jessica and Jason - got engaged. I cried when I heard the news. Two people who are obviously so in love with each other, so right for each other, so perfect together have decided to get married. It’s a beautiful thing when that happens, the union of a couple, the coming together of love, commitment and joy. It’s something to be celebrated.
That we still live in a society where only certain people are allowed to experience that step in their relationship is shameful.
Stop marriage discrimination.
